Department of Surgery & Theriogenology

The department of Surgery and Theriogenology (SUTH) is one of the ten (10) departments which were originally set up when the Faculty of Animal science and Veterinary Medicine (ASVM), Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, was started in 2011. The departmental activities was started at 14th October, 2014 after establishment of ASVM faculty whereby as it’s most clinical department. It is made up of two service units, Surgery and Theriogenology. It focuses on teaching, research and extension in the areas of veterinary surgery, anaesthesiology, diagnostic imaging and theriogenology. The  department service is flourishing by single academic (teaching) staff with professional expertise in clinical services, internal medicine, anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery and theriogenology where as theriogenology belongs to   physiology and pathology of male and female reproductive systems of animals and the clinical practice of veterinary obstetrics, gynaecology and andrology.
