Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Entomology at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He holds a Ph.D. in Entomology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, with a specialization in Integrated Pest Management, Insecticide Toxicology, and Environmental Protection. With over 26 years of academic experience, he has served in various capacities, including Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and currently as a Professor since 2010. Dr. Rahman has supervised numerous postgraduate students, guiding research on pest management strategies in key agricultural crops. He has also been actively involved in research funded by Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Research System (SAURES) and the Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technology, Bangladesh. His expertise extends to consulting on Integrated Pest Management and insecticide toxicology.

Dr. Rahman has a prolific research portfolio, with 40 publications in both national and international journals, covering topics such as pest management in brinjal, tomato, and chili, as well as environmentally sustainable agricultural practices. He has contributed significantly to entomological studies, focusing on insect ecology, physiology, and taxonomy. His work in developing Integrated Pest Management packages has been instrumental in mitigating crop damage while reducing reliance on chemical insecticides. Additionally, he has been involved in seed certification programs in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture. His contributions to agricultural science have earned him recognition in academia and research, making him a key figure in entomological studies in Bangladesh
