Dr. A.K.M. Ruhul Amin is a Professor of Agronomy of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained Ph.D. from the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Being a teacher, his main interest is to educate and motivate the students to understand the basic principles and perform high-quality research for the betterment of farmers and humankind. Dr. Amin participated in and presented his research work at many international conferences, seminars, and workshops in Malaysia and Bangladesh. So far, he has published 69 scientific articles in reputed journals including BMC Plant Biology, Crop Science, Virology, Physiology and Molecular Biology of Plants, Heliyon, PLOS ONE, Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology Reports, etc. His researches mainly focus on crop improvement associated with yield, quality, fatty acids of edible oil, abiotic tolerance, disease resistance, and stress-adaptation of crops. Conventional and molecular plant breeding, molecular biology, bioinformatics, genomics and tissue culture approaches are practiced to address the research questions and to test the research hypotheses. So far, Dr. Rahman developed five varieties of Canoal-grade mustard, Maize Corp.
