Taufika Islam is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Agronomy, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has completed her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons.) from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, where she achieved the Dean's award. She also completed her Master of Science in Agronomy from the same University. Taufika was bestowed with the opportunity to work as a “special research student” at Laboratory of Plant Stress Responses, Kagawa University, Japan with one year scholarship funded by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and completed her MS research experiment there. Currently she has been persuing her PhD degree at Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan - funded by the prestigious MEXT scholarship (2022-2025). Taufika has been involved in research activities on different aspects of Plants responses to environmental stress, stress combination, and the mitigative approaches.
