Associate Professor and Chairman

Dr. Md Ghulam Rabbany is currently employed as an Associate Professor at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) in Bangladesh. He completed his Ph.D. in rural finance and economics at China's Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University. He also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in marketing from Patuakhali Science and Technology University and IBA/Rajshahi University, respectively, in 2009 and 2011. Rabbany worked successfully as a lecturer at Bangladesh University in Dhaka from 2011 to 2012. Following He joined Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2012 as a lecturer in the department of Agribusiness and Marketing. Rabbany was awarded a doctoral fellowship by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) of the Chinese government in 2017. His research interests include rural agricultural productivity, efficiency, finance, credit, Women's empowerment and willingness to pay. Rabbany authored ten research papers during his Ph.D. in SCI- or SSCI-indexed publications.
