Teacher Overview

I am a Part-Time Faculty at the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the University of Tokyo, and I have served as a foreign visiting scholar at Hitotsubashi University and as a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo. I was a Dean, Faculty of Agribusiness Management and a Chairman of the Department of Agricultural Statistics at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. I am a founder and Chief Moderator of ICT and Career Development Club, SAU and I was a coordinator of a training courses and team leader of research teams, so, I co-ordinate the meeting and workshop frequently on my professional platforms.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics in 2011, Japan. I have done a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow in Japan. I am an examiner of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC), Bangladesh Agricultural University, Open University, Sylhet Agricultural University and Patuakhali Science and Technology University. Moreover, I was an expert member for the project proposal evaluation of University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, a panel reviewer of BANBEIS, Ministry of Education, steering and technical committee member of IMED and Social Science Research Council, Ministry of planning. I have research experiences with Bangladesh Accreditation Council, Ministry of Science and Technology, and University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, ADBI, ADB and WB. I served as Principal and Co-principal Investigator at different national and international projects with collaboration to IRRI, ICLARM, IFAD for sustainable development of farmers' livelihoods with multinational team in the different ecosystem etc. I have substantial research experience in Social Sciences of more than twenty five (25) years working in different development issues using the different Statistical Softwares like as SPSS, STATA and R programing etc. During this tenure, I have executed around 100 research and development projects for survey in poverty reduction, microenterprise, development, environment, migration, child labor as Lead Researcher, Econometrician and Data Management Specialist etc. I have published 60 scholarly articles books, chapters, conference papers, and research reports at home and abroad. Most of the cases, I am lead author as well as I have published five article as a single author.
