Dr. Md. Sadique Rahman is a ‘ Professor’ at the Department of Agricultural Finance and Management, Faculty of Agribusiness Management, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Rahman completed his PhD in Agricultural Economics at the Bangladesh Agricultural University. Before joining SAU, Dr. Rahman worked at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) under the Department of Agricultural Economics as a ‘Scientific Officer’. So far, Dr. Rahman has published more than 45 journal articles and 4 book chapters. Dr. Rahman has experience working with FAO, IPM-CRSP (USAID), CIP, Degrees initiative, University of Oxford etc.
Currently working on a choice experiment to understand the farmers’ incentives to adopt short duration rice variety in flash flood prone freshwater wetland ecosystem in Bangladesh.Dr. Rahman's research focus includes, but is not limited to, climate change adaptation, climate change policy, Renewable energy policy, SDGs, impact assessment, technology adoption, agricultural finance, food security, development interventions, public perception and governance issues of climate intervention etc.
