Asma Akter, PhD currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow at Hainan University, China. Dr. Asma is also an Assisociate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Finance and Management at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Asma completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agricultural Economics and Management) from Nanjing Agricultural University, China. The main research focused on her Ph.D. in Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices and their impacts on the socio-economic status of rural people as well as yield effects on the southern areas of Bangladesh. Dr. Asma completed her Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management (Hons.) from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University and Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from the same University. She seeks to promote the integration of determinants of sustainable rural agricultural development. She also has a great fascination to works on agricultural innovation and technology adoption, climate change adaptation and climate-smart agricultural practices as well as agricultural credit and agricultural finance.
