Dr. Md. Mohibbullah

Dr. Md. Mohibbullah is an accomplished researcher and Assistant Professor at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh, specializing in seaweed biotechnology, aquatic food processing, and functional food development. He holds a Ph.D. and MS in Marine Biotechnology from Pukyong National University, South Korea, and a B.Sc. in Fisheries from Bangladesh Agricultural University. As a Brain Pool Postdoctoral Fellow at Silla University and Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, Dr. Mohibbullah has made significant contributions to seafood science and safety. His research focuses on bioactive compounds, heavy metal contamination in seaweeds, and functional food innovations, leading to over 42 high-impact SCI and SCIE-indexed journal publications and one book chapter. His work has garnered 1,421 citations with an h-index of 18. Dr. Mohibbullah has received several prestigious awards, including the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 2024 International Fisheries and Aquaculture Conference and the Best Young Scientist Award at ISCon XVI in 2019. He has delivered invited talks at international conferences, served as a session judge, and earned recognition for his outstanding contributions to peer reviewing. Beyond academia, Dr. Mohibbullah is actively engaged in community outreach, conducting hands-on training for fishermen and fisheries officials on post-harvest preservation and food safety. He is a life member of the Bangladesh Fisheries Research Forum and affiliated with multiple international scientific societies. Through his research and mentorship, he continues to advance marine biotechnology and sustainable fisheries.
