Assistant Professor
Department of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography
Dr. Roksana Jahan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Jahan had been serving as the founder chairman of the Department of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography from October 2019 to May 2025. She achieved PhD in Marine Science and Biological Engineering from Inha University, Korea. She had post-doctoral research experience from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China and Pukyung National University, Korea. She completed BSc. in Fisheries (Hons.) and MS in Fisheries Management from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Her research mainly focuses on ecology of plankton, biology of marine fishes and marine pollution.
