Md. Sirajul Islam Khan has been serving as a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Chemistry at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh since January, 2020. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons.) and Master of Science in Agricultural Chemistry from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University and achieved first class second and CGPA 4.0 (Out of 4.0), respectively at undergraduate and master’s level. Again, he completed his Master of Science in Agriculture from Kagawa University, Japan with a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship. He also completed his PhD in Plant Biochemistry under United Graduate School Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University, Japan with a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship. Siraj’s research broadly focuses on pesticides, trace elements (heavy metals) contamination, plant nutrients, water quality, food safety, allelochemicals from biota, and human and environmental health risk assessment of pesticides and heavy metals in agricultural matrix. So far he published forty one (41) research articles in different international peer-reviewed journals. He is a reviewer of more than twelve peer-reviewed international journals.
