Teacher Overview

Dr. Shilpi Kundu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Information System at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She obtained her PhD from the School of Environment and Science, Griffith University, Australia in August 2023 with the thesis entitled ‘an analysis of policy, institutions, and practice for encouraging climate-resilient adaptations in coastal agriculture in Bangladesh’. Educational background includes a master’s degree in Agricultural Extension from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in 2011 and another double master’s degree in Sustainable Forest and Nature Management Studies under the European Commission’s Erasmus Mundus Program with a focus on landscape ecology from Gottingen University, Germany and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden in 2015. Before joining the PhD program, she was serving as a lecturer and an assistant professor at the same department in Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has been involved in teaching in undergrade and postgrad studies, supervision of master thesis, research, and outreach activities. She has been publishing regularly in national and international journals and attending international conferences. Her research interests include but not limited to climate resilient agriculture (CRA), synergies gender dimension in promoting CRA, sustainable development goals, social research methods, policy analysis, dynamic interface management in stakeholder engagement in the background of climate change adaptation.
