Jubayer-Al-Mahmud (PhD) is a faculty member (Professor) of the Department of Agroforestry and Environmental Science in Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He achieved Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons.) from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, where he obtained 10th merit position and received a dean’s award from Agriculture faculty in 2008. He also completed a Master of Science in Agricultural Botany from the same university in 2010, where he achieved 1st merit position. In 2011, he joined as a lecturer in the Department of Agroforestry and Environmental Science, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his PhD with a dissertation on ‘Plant Environmental Stress Physiology’ from the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University, Japan with a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship in 2017. He published 38 research articles, 10 review articles, 11 book chapters, 23 abstracts and 2 proceedings in different renowned journals, books and conferences. His publications are cited by around 6515 times as per ResearchGate with a Research Interest Score - 3,898 and an h-Index of 32 (as of October, 2024).
