Department of Biochemistry located at the 2nd floor south west corner of Academic building of Agriculture faculty. The Department starts its activity from the beginning of the Agriculture education i.e., 1938. Initially the Department conducts the Biochemistry course as one of the member of Agricultural faculty, now both under graduate and post graduate course are conducted. The teachers who involved in the conduction of courses were awarded from reputed national international Universities. Biochemistry at SAU has a long tradition of excellence in biochemical research. Many of our undergraduate and graduate students as well as postdoctoral research associates have used their experiences at SAU to establish careers of responsibility in both academia and the private sector. The department investigating the undergraduate and graduate programs so that student can learn about the intellectual opportunities now possible by breakthroughs in this post genomic era of biology.
In 1938, Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Huq envisioned a new era of agricultural education to empower students with knowledge and innovation for sustainable farming. This vision gave birth to Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, a center of excellence in agricultural development.
