Welcome to the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Physiology. This is one of the full-fledged departments from the beginning of the establishment of the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. This department comprises of two basic disciplines viz. Anatomy and Physiology. Different basic courses offered from this department related to the origin and morpho-functions of different body systems of domestic animals and birds at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This department is solely dedicated to education in basic veterinary medicine which forms the foundation for clinical approaches of veterinary medicine. Furthermore, this department offers basic as well as molecular research in targeting to fulfill the objective of `One Health`.
In 1938, Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Huq envisioned a new era of agricultural education to empower students with knowledge and innovation for sustainable farming. This vision gave birth to Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, a center of excellence in agricultural development.
